I can't believe that it's been almost three weeks since I've written. Time sure does fly when you aren't worried about what your next blog post is going to look like.
In all honesty...I needed a break.
It seemed like I was hit with all sorts of things at once and just couldn't find the time to write about any of it.
First...I've completely hit a plateau in my weight loss. Not a happy camper. I have been fighting to lose these last 8 pounds and am seriously struggling. I talked with my leader about my struggles and she suggested that I add more protein to my diet - after all - I am running about 10 miles a week.
So...I tried that and ended up gaining four pounds! I'm pretty sure it was at that point when I just gave up and said forget it. I ate two bowls of un-meaured cereal and ate Triscuts out of the box! I know...living on the edge!
I also haven't ran in over a week. I don't know if it is the stress of not being able to lose those extra pounds or what...but I'm just not motivated. I know that I would feel better if I got out there and pounded the pavement, but I just can't bring myself to do it at the moment.
While all of this is happening, I've been sick this week and Lucas started First Grade! Seriously...where does the time go? It feels like yesterday that I was visiting him in the NICU.
So...all in all...it's been a lousy week for my mood. As if this post wasn't a blatant example of my non-chipperness.
I am definitely getting back on the wagon, but I might take it slow and end up walking the neighborhood with the babes instead of running a couple of miles at the gym.
Here's to a new outlook as we head into the weeks ahead.
